How will your Donation Help indians living Abroad?

A Story of Community, Growth, and Empowerment — Powered by Your Support
Living abroad is a journey filled with opportunities, challenges, and moments of profound transformation. For thousands of young Indians in Italy, especially students and newly arrived families, the experience often begins with uncertainty: navigating bureaucratic systems, finding support networks, searching for career direction, and adjusting to a new culture.

The Indian Youth Association APS (IYA) was born to fill this gap — to ensure that every young Indian in Italy has a community to rely on, resources to grow, and opportunities to thrive.

Today, your donations, including your 5×1000, make this mission possible.

Our A Brief History of Our Work

Since the formation of Indian Youth Association APS, our purpose has been clear:
to empower, support, and uplift Indian youth and families in Italy through education, culture, welfare and community-building.

Below is a snapshot of what we have accomplished so far and continue to expand.

1. Cultural Integration & Community Events

We create opportunities for Indian youth to feel connected, proud, and integrated.

Key Activities

  • Major cultural festivals celebrated in Rome with hundreds of participants (Diwali, Holi, Independence Day).
  • Youth cultural exchange events with Italian partner organizations (such as Spin Time Labs).
  • Music, art, and dance showcases to highlight young Indian talent in Italy.
  • Workshops on intercultural understanding, helping Indian and Italian youth collaborate, communicate, and appreciate each other’s heritage.

These events strengthen a sense of belonging and improve community visibility.

2. Student Support & Legal Orientation

New students arriving in Italy often struggle with documentation, integration, and practical matters.
IYA has stepped in to help with:

  • Orientation for new arrivals
  • Guidance on residence permit, codice fiscale, health card, SPID, and university bureaucracy
  • Language support
  • Peer networks for study, travel, and accommodation

This work reduces stress, prevents misinformation, and creates a smoother transition into Italy.

3. Mental Health & Emotional Well-Being

Living abroad can be isolating. Young people face culture shocks, career anxiety, financial pressure, and homesickness.

We organize:

  • Festival/Cultural event circles
  • Peer-support groups
  • Mindfulness and emotional wellness activities

These safe spaces help youth share challenges, find encouragement, and build resilience.

4. Professional Growth & Career Pathways

IYA supports the ambitions of Indian youth by connecting them to opportunities through:

  • Job-oriented workshops
  • CV, LinkedIn, and interview training
  • Access to partners, employers, and mentors
  • Networking sessions with industry professionals

The aim is simple:
Help every young Indian build a strong, stable, and successful life in Italy.

5. Social Responsibility & Volunteerism

We promote active civic participation through:

  • Volunteer programs for community service
  • Food distribution drives
  • Youth leadership initiatives
  • Collaborations with Italian NGOs and social centers

IYA helps youth transform from individuals seeking support into leaders who give back.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference

Your contribution — especially through the 5×1000 donation — is not a cost.
It is an investment in people, in their future, and in the wellbeing of the Indian community abroad.

Your support helps us:

1. Create Safe and Inclusive Spaces

To host our events, workshops, meetings, and youth gatherings — places where young people feel seen, respected, and supported.

2. Offer Direct Assistance to Students

Your donation helps fund guidance programs, legal orientation, student welcome kits, and practical support for new arrivals.

3. Strengthen Mental and Emotional Health Programs

We hope to expand structured mental health support, professional sessions, and group therapy pathways.

4. Organize Cultural and Educational Events

Every festival, workshop, or community celebration becomes possible because of donors like you.

5. Support Minority Representation

IYA represents a young, multicultural, minority community that often struggles to find institutional support.
Your help allows us to be stronger, more structured, and more capable.

6. Develop Long-Term Youth Projects

We are preparing programs for:

  • entrepreneurship
  • digital skills
  • leadership training
  • intercultural exchange
  • community volunteering

These projects build confidence, competence, and opportunities for Indian youth in Italy.

Why Your 5×1000 Matters

Donating your 5×1000 does not cost you anything.
But for our young people, it means:

  • Scholarships for deserving students
  • Fees for legal and administrative support
  • Hiring professional trainers for courses
  • Youth development programs
  • Cultural events that preserve identity and belonging
  • Community outreach for vulnerable youth

Your signature can turn into hope, support, and empowerment for many.

A Message From Our Community

“We came to Italy searching for opportunities.
We found a community that feels like home.”

This is the voice of the youth we serve — students, young professionals, dreamers, and achievers who now feel connected, supported, and inspired.
